The works comprised of the construction of a new Section 136 Suite as a single storey extension to The Orchards Unit, Locksway Road. The 136 Suite required all anti-ligature fittings.
The Works comprised of a partial refurbishment and fit out of the proposed existing accommodation of Block A, St Mary’s Hospital. It included minor demolition and alteration works, new internal walls, extensive additional finishes, fittings, sanitary ware and mechanical & electrical works. New external drainage was required, and some additional external works.
The area of the building works were vacated during the project but not the whole building and we therefore took due cognisance of the potential impact of our works and the close proximity of staff, patients, and visitors whilst undertaking these works.
Contract: Fitting out, External Cedar Cladding & Stone Render, Design & Installation of Mechanical & Electrical Systems to a timber frame shell erected by a specialist contractor.
Heating: Underfloor heating to all areas via a conventional condensing boiler. Conventional electrical system throughout.
High insulation values were achieved to accommodate the addition of green energy sources at a later date.
The works comprised of the construction of a new extension to the existing Residential Care Home to provide 15 additional en-suite bedrooms, a new lounge and dining room, bathroom, lift, plant and store rooms.
The works comprised of external repairs to stonework and brickwork to the buildings known as Finchdean House 1 and Finchdean House 2.

The work comprised of the removal of existing single-storey bays into a courtyard and the construction of a enlarged internal area with new roof construction overhead. Internal partitions were altered to form additional bedrooms and a new seclusion/De-Escalation rooms.
